Family and personal history:
Yaswanth father Manohar is staying in his native village Thirumalapudi. He got married in the year 1993 and both Wife and husband are leading life happily .After marriage up to 2 years they were not having children. After that she became pregnant and gave birth to first child. He is working in villages along with tractor as coolie. After some time they were suffering with health problems. After two years again she became pregnant. From that time onwards she was suffering with multiple diseases. Both of them went to area hospital for health checkup and they were adviced to have VCTC test. After getting the report they have known that both are positive. From that time onwards they became sad and psychologically disturbed. They were upset and With out taking proper counseling, went to their house.
When all the family members started suffering with multiple diseases again they went to hospital and got both children tested. In the report they came to know his first son is not infected with HIV and his second son Yaswanth is HIV positive. His family members were upset.
Out reach worker from STEPS NGO, Ankaiah met Manohar, Eswaramma, and Yaswanth at VCTC center. Ankaiah Explained about STEPS Services and referred Yswanth to S.V.R.R Hospital, Tirupathi for CD4 test. During November 2006 ,CD4 was 1018 again he was tested for CD4 count in the month of January 2008 and CD4 count increased above normal .The doctor told that there no need of ART. Now he is staying with his parents studying First class. In School even though they know his HIV status, students and teachers are not discriminating yaswanth.At present due to their poor economic condition there are mainly depending upon his father Manohar daily earnings. Yaswanth frequently suffering with fever, cough, and skin infection .Yaswanth height and weight mid arm circumstances is normal. Yaswanth is under the care of his parents.
During first counseling session to the parents, Counselor created awareness about HIV/AIDS. After counseling session parents self stigma and discrimination gradually reduced. Counselor gave Nutritional counseling, low cost recipes and high nutritious food. Health hygienic counseling given to the Yaswanth and to his parents. Project director, Project coordinator, Counselor and clinical administrator have visited his house. Outreach worker Ankaiah visit them weekly three times. Future plans of action are providing complete clinical services and nutritional support for the children.

Raghavaiah got married in the year 1998.For his wife it is second marriage. Her first husband is lorry driver. After living few days with him, she left him and married Raghavaiah and both of them living in edambaku village. She became pregnant and gave birth to male child. After few days she started suffering with multiple diseases. During her visit to area hospital for treatment they advised for VCTC and in that report she came to know that she is HIV positive. After few days she died. Due to fear and stigma Ragavaiah did not under go VCTC after his wife death. He also started suffering with diseases, so he decided under go to VCTC and in that test he came to know that he is also HIV positive. During VCTC, at area hospital center STEPS out reach worker met him and enquired about family back ground. He suggested him to bring his son for VCTC and also advised him to approach Mythri for clinical and counseling services. He convinced with his wards and brought his son for VCTC. In this test he came to know that his son also positive. Only Ragavaiah and his mother taking care of Indhra. They admitted him in the school and now he is h
studying first class.
Ragavaiah and his son started visiting Mythri clinic. During counseling advised Ragavaiah to have CD4count and TB test for his son. He agreed and went to SVRR hospital for these tests. In the report, TB test is negative and CD4 count is 1018 and subsequently again went for CD4 count after six moths. The Cd4 count increased to 1019.Because CD4 count is more the doctors advised him there is no need of ART.
During the visits to the clinic some of the observations were recorded. He is suffering with opportunistic infections fever and cold. He is maintaining weight constantly but the growth is less. During counseling sessions explained about nutritious food and it advantages. Ragavaiah is a coolie depending upon daily wages, so his economic condition is not allowing him to provide nutritious food for his son.
